OTHER CLASSES

I teach a range of other exercise classes in a number of gyms and health clubs in South London. More information on times and locations can be found on my Facebook page 'Hayley Cross Fitness'.

Ballet Lesson
BARRE

Barre is a ballet-inspired workout set to music. It targets the whole body, including the core, with simple balletic and conditioning movements. No dance experience is required, and it's a great way to burn calories with no impact.

Benefits include toned and strengthened legs, improved balance, and a feeling of gracefulness after class!

BODYPUMP

BodyPump is the original barbell workout, that uses low weights and high repetitions to build muscle strength and tone. Classes work every major muscle group of the body, and it's entirely up to you (with guidance) as to how much you lift - it's a brilliant way in to lifting weights if you've never done so before, and a different way to train if you have.

Benefits include being able to carry your own suitcase, not putting your back out when picking up children, and a big energised grin on your face every time you walk out of class.

BODYBALANCE

BodyBalance is a blend of Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates, all choreographed to a beautiful soundtrack. It's perfect for building flexibility and strength, and for working on mindfulness. It's a misconception you need to be bendy to do yoga, and BodyBalance's mantra is 'to accept what your body can do today'.

Benefits include being able to tie your shoelaces without groaning to reach your feet, and a feeling of floating on air after class.

GROUP CYCLE

Group Cycle does what it says on the tin. It's cycling. In a group. Undertaken on indoor stationary bikes, it means you can get your cardio on without having to brave the elements. Classes are split into tracks, each with a different focus and pumping tune to keep you motivated. By varying the resistance on your bike, one moment you might be climbing a mountain, the next you are racing along an open road. Whatever the track, though, you'll be burning calories and getting fitter.

Benefits include being able to run for the bus and a feeling of confidence that you could definitely tackle the Tour de France each time you finish a class.

My studio is situated on Trinity Rise, between Herne Hill and Tulse Hill.

There is on-street parking (other than between 12pm and 2pm), and there may be some space on the drive! Bicycles can be locked by the front door.

Otherwise, it is a ten minute walk from Herne Hill Station, or six minutes from Tulse Hill. A number of buses also stop at Brockwell Park Gardens, as well as at the top end of Trinity Rise, at various stops.
